Does your research challenge existing approaches and proposes fresh solutions to real-world social issues? Are you looking for awards that fund researchers that traditional funding bodies would otherwise overlook?

Flexible Grants for Small Groups

The Independent Social Research Foundation (ISRF) invites applications from Europe-based scholars and offers up to €8,500 for applicants outside the UK and £7,100 for those within the UK.

The ISRF seeks projects that push disciplinary boundaries within the social sciences and interdisciplinary fields, exploring under-researched topics through novel theoretical or methodological approaches.

Projects must begin by the end of December 2025 and span up to one year. This period should include collaborative, in-person work through workshops, paired studies, or short academic visits, fostering interactive research among team members.
